Karaoke Machines

!±8± Karaoke Machines

New Years Eve: you're in a crowded, smoky bar. It's loud and rowdy but everyone's having fun. The last song was a bust, so you decide to get up on stage and bust out your best version of "American Pie". It's an instant hit! Everyone is singing along, and when you're done you win the prize for best song of the night, even though you were off key and sounded like a bullfrog.

That's right, you're at a Karaoke bar! Long a favorite in Asia, karaoke has exploded in popularity around the world in the last few years. With advances in technology, karaoke machines are cheaper, more portable, and more fun than ever!

Thought to have been invented in Japan by drummer Daisuke Inoue, the karaoke machine wasn't patented until 1983 by Roberto del Rosario, a Filipino inventor.

Regardless of who invented it, karaoke has become a popular form of entertainment around the world, and for good reason! Karaoke is a great ice-breaker at parties, and even the most shy and reserved of people will get up to belt out their favorite tunes.

One of the best parties I have ever been to was a karaoke party. When a good friend of mine told me he was renting a karaoke machine for his birthday, I thought it was the lamest idea I had ever heard. But being a good friend, I went anyway. Boy was I ever wrong! Everyone had a blast, and I found out just how fun karaoke can be.

Since then, I've been everyone from Elvis to Axel Rose, and I've had a lot of fun. So, next time you get invited to a karaoke party, make sure you jump at the chance!
